Today's Reading
Eph. 2:19-22

The readings from Amos give place today to the readings for the Feast of St. Thomas the Apostle.

We often think of Thomas as the doubting Thomas because of his demand for proofs of Jesus’ resurrection. But Thomas was also a faith-filled Thomas. “My Lord and my God,” he proclaims.

Today’s reading from Ephesians gives some indication of the meaning of being faith-filled.

Faith-filled believers are familiar with Christ and His community. They see themselves as fellow citizens of the saints and members of the household of God. They are built together into the temple of the Lord, the dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

Thanks be to God for Thomas. Thanks be to God for our sharing in his faith.
