Today's Reading
Ez. 2:8-3:4

Moses’ mission is coming to an end. He would die soon. But his death would not deprive the Israelites of the leadership they needed. Moses’ role would be assumed by Joshua. Joshua would lead the people into the Promised Land.

Moreover, the Lord would continue to be with His people. No fewer than three times in today’s reading the Lord assures the people that He will be marching with them into the land He had promised them.

We, too, are marching forward to a new country, a heavenly country, promised us by God. God marches with us, too. We’re not on our own. We can--and we must--rely on the presence and the power and the encouragement of the Lord who marches with us.
