Exploring Our Faith
John Feister's guest is Franciscan Father Tom Richstatter. Ordained a priest in 1966, he has devoted most of his life to the study and teaching of liturgy and sacramental theology. He earned his doctorate in Theological Sciences with a specialization in Liturgy and Sacramental Theology from the Institut Catholique in Paris, France. Father Tom is currently Professor of Liturgy and Sacramental Theology at Saint Meinrad School of Theology in Indiana. He’s a frequent guest here on ACR, has written over one hundred books and articles, mostly recently “Simple Facts, Deep Truths: The Liturgical Year,” the December 2010 issue of Catholic Update. In preparation for the introduction of the new English translation of the Mass prayers from the Roman Missal Third Edition, Father Tom spoke with John about how Catholics pray.
