Exploring Our Faith
John Feister's guest is George Dardess. He is a permanent deacon at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Rochester, New York, where he gives retreats, lectures and courses on Islam throughout the U.S. He is also a member of both the Muslim-Catholic Alliance and the Commission on Muslim-Christian Relations in Rochester. With Marvin Mich he co-authored In the Spirit of St. Francis and the Sultan: Muslims and Catholics Working Together for the Common Good, (published by Orbis in 2011). For St. Anthony Messenger Press he wrote Do We Worship the Same God? Comparing the Bible and the Qur’an, in 2006, and has an article in the September 2011 issue of St. Anthony Messenger. He spoke with John about the current prospects for interfaith peace.
