Today's Reading
Ps. 33:4-5, 18-19, 20, 22

Today’s psalm is a hymn to divine providence, a symphony of praise to God, creator and ruler of the universe.

God is ever faithful to His promises, the wise and mighty ruler of the world. All creation is good because it’s all God’s.

Psalms of praise are songs of optimism. The Lord looks out for us and brings us to share in His generosity. He never runs out of kindness. We can always rely on the goodness and breadth of His creativity. He preserves us in time of trial and threat. It is always appropriate for us to rely on His generosity and to put our hope in Him. It’s always appropriate to praise Him.

“The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.”
