Today's Reading
Ps. 105:1-2, 3-4, 6-7, 8-9

For what are we to praise the Lord today?

For His wondrous deeds, for all the great things He has done for His people. His ongoing care calls for His people to serve Him with constancy. He remembers His blessings to Abraham and Abraham’s descendants. He is mindful of the agreements He entered into with them, binding for a thousand generations.

But the Lord’s great deeds for His people are not just events from the past. Still now He confers on us life and energy and purpose. He works in the life of each of us. He shares His own life with us. His gifts to us call us to give thanks to Him and proclaim His goodness.

“Rejoice, O hearts that seek the Lord.”
