Today's Reading
Ps. 8:2, 5, 6-7, 8-9

Today we praise God for the wonders of His earthly creation. “How wonderful your name in all the earth!”

In addition to creating a world filled with wonder, God has put human beings in charge of the world. God has given man rule over all His works.

This psalm proclaims the majesty of God and the dignity of humankind. It invites man to experience wonder at the splendor of the work of God’s hands and to marvel that the divine Artist has given His human creature dominion over all this richness.

Today God invites all of us to be joyful in what He has done for the world and done for us.

“O Lord, our God, how wonderful your name in all the earth!”
