Today's Reading
1 Pt. 1:18-25

Christians should realize that they have been redeemed not by the payment of silver or gold, but by the sacrifice of Christ’s precious blood, a sacrifice foreseen before the foundation of the world and revealed for us in this final time. This sacrifice raised Him from the dead and gave us faith and hope in God.

We have been born anew through the imperishable energy of God’s word, a word that lives and abides forever, a word that calls us to obedience to the truth and to sincere brotherly love. God’s word is not like the wild flowers that wither and wilt. Rather, God’s word remains forever, and it is this word that has been offered to us.

How do I respond to God’s word?
